Hull & Machinery

Hull & Machinery provides insurance for damage to the hull and machinery and equipment installed on the vessel. It is a physical damage policy designed to cover physical loss or damage arising from a marine peril, and will include events associated with a physical loss at sea. The policy is adapted to the requirements of the vessel owner concerned, and will include levels of deductible, sum insured, any increased value, and will specify the extent of the cover taken up, whether that be ‘All Risks’, ‘Limited Conditions’ or ‘Total Loss Only’ cover.

The main cover points of your ‘All Risks’ policy are as follows:

  • Perils of the seas, rivers, lakes, and other navigable waters.
  • Total loss /actual or constructive /of the Insured vessel.
  • Damage to hull, machinery, equipment and everything connected therewith.
  • General average.

Protection & Indemnity

Protection & Indemnity (P&I) cover protects vessel owners for their third-party liabilities and expenses arising from the ownership or operation of vessels, including those relating to collisions, damage to property, crew injury, pollution and wreck removals.

The main cover points of your P&I policy are as follows:

  • Damages or compensation for personal injury or death for any person employed on the vessel or any member of the public who may have an accident on-board
  • Collision with fixed or floating objects
  • Pollution Risks
  • Wreck Removal
  • Clean up etc.

Personal Accident

Our Personal Accident insurance is an annual policy which provides compensation in the event of injuries, disability or death caused by accidental events.

The main details of your Personal Accident policy are as follows:

  • Accident only cover
  • 24 Hour cover whether on-board or ashore
  • Temporary Disablement benefits are payable for a maximum of 104 weeks any one claim.
  • In lengthy injury cases, payments on Account will be made.
  • Capital Sum is payable in the event of Death, Loss of Limbs, Sight, Permanent Total Disablement.
